Condolences to Dave Herriott whose mother, Katherine Herriott, 90, of Sharpsville, died Friday, January 8, 2010. Congratulations to the 2009 Sharon Tigers football team. Despite losing starting senior quarterback Ronnie Howard in late October because of a lower leg stress fracture, sophomore Jason Ondic led the Tigers to a 10-3 season record. Two of their three losses, including one in the playoffs, were to the Wilmington Greyhounds. According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year 2010, which commences on February 14, 2010, is the Year of the Tiger. The Tiger is the third sign in the Chinese Zodiac and is considered a sign of bravery.
