Valerie J. (Bancroft) Beeman, 62, of 236 Marmion Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio, died Friday, January 31, 2003, at Forum Health Care in Youngstown, Ohio. Valerie was born in Sharon on July 31, 1940, to William and Dorothy Kinney Bancroft. She was a member of Gibson Heights Church, Youngstown, and was employed at the rescue mission as a newsletter editor. She was also employed for 11 years as a clerk for the Youngstown Police Department. Surviving are: her father, in Sharon; a son, Eric and Jennifer Cromwell, Poland, Ohio; a daughter, Melanie Nelson, Struthers, Ohio; two brothers, David Bancroft, Baltimore; and Timothy Bancroft, Wellsville, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Eric Cromwell Jr. and Suzie Nelson. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage.
