Susan Marie (Cleary) May, 69, of 2280 Orangeville Road, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, died at 4:20 P.M. Monday, March 16, 2009, in the Coronary Care Unit of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Horizon Hospital, Farrell, after an extended illness. She was born February 6, 1940, in Sharon, a daughter of Freeman T. and Anne Margaret Aaron Cleary, and graduated from Sharon High School in 1958. She was a lifetime area resident, and was a caregiver with the Sharon Regional Health System Hospice Home Care program before she became ill. As an active member of Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon, she was a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) instructor, and had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and her Rosary. Sue was a talented artist who enjoyed painting with watercolors and oil paint, and was an excellent cook and seamstress and an avid gardener. She is survived by her husband, Classmate David A. May, whom she married June 10, 1961; four daughters, Vickie Hosick and her husband Regis, Sharon; Beth Thompson, South Pymatuning Township; Tracey Schultz and her husband D. Brian, Transfer; and Jenny M. Bell and her husband Christopher, South Pymatuning Township; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and, a sister, Margaret Osborne, of Fairport, New York. A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, March 20th, in Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage, and burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Hermitage. |
