Paul Edwin Hanahan

Paul Edwin Hanahan, 74, of 317 Grant Street, Sharon, died on Sunday, September 21, 2014, in Butler of natural causes. Paul was born August 1, 1940, in Sharon, to Paul Edwin and Nellie Mary Quinn Hanahan, and was a 1958 graduate of Sharon High School and lifelong area resident. He was employed for 26 years at Valley Mould & Iron, Hubbard Township, retiring in 1990 as a supervisor. He was a 1954 graduate of Sacred Heart School and was a lifelong member of Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon. An avid golfer, Paul was a member of the Hubbard Golf League and was happy to have made two holes-in-one in years past. A standout baseball player in his youth, he was selected to the Division Little League and Pony League all-star teams. He was also drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is survived by several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellis and Helen Bretz.
