Marianne Margaret Iorio, 68, of 255 Greenwood Drive, Hermitage, Pennsylvania, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in the Woodland Place healthcare facility, Coolspring Township, after a brief illness. She was born January 30, 1941, in Sharon to Anthony and Margaret Rose Iorio, and graduated from Sharon High School in 1958. Marianne was a billing clerk for more than 20 years for PI&I Trucking in Sharon, was also a cashier at Pat Catan’s craft store in Hermitage, was a member of UPMC Horizon Hospital Auxiliary and Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon, and was an avid reader who also enjoyed watching NASCAR races. She is survived by her sister, Tessie DelFratte, Sharpsville; her brother, John Iorio and wife Donna, Lake Mary, Florida; a sister-in-law, Mollie Iorio; and a close friend, Mary Lou Marcello, both Hermitage; six nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and -nephews, and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Blase “Benny” Iorio. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Place, 745 Greenville Road, Mercer 16137. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, July 25, 2009, in Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon. |
