Mary Ann (Dorus) Winters, 61, of 70 Mine Hill Road, Washington, New Jersey, died Thursday, December 20, 2001, at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Mary Ann, the wife of Edward M. Winters (SHS Class of '58), was born in Sharon on October 14, 1940, to Michael and Rose Conti Dorus. Mary Ann and Ed celebrated their 43rd anniversary earlier this year. She was a supervisor for the Hunterdon Developmental Center, Clinton, New Jersey, and a member of the Washington (N.J.) Assembly of God. In addition to her husband, surviving are: a son, Edward M., Jr., of Washington Township; two daughters, Lisa Sleight of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and Sharon Winters of Mansfield Township, New Jersey; two sisters, Rosalie Miller, Sharon, Pennsylvania, and Shelly Stewart, Jacksonville, Florida; and nine grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Friday, December 28, 2001, in the Assembly of God Church, 33 Brass Castle Road, Washington, New Jersey. Burial was by cremation at H. G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
