John L. Searle, 66, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, died on Sunday, January 14, 2007, at Akron General Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born October 30, 1940, in Sharon, to Ralph and Alice Lewis Searle, and graduated from Sharon High School in 1958. John attended Pennsylvania State University where he received a Master's degree in engineering. He also registered several electronic patents. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Sharon. He is survived by his brother, Ralph, of Gnadenhutten, Ohio. Inurnment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Hermitage.
