Barbara Anne (White) Grassl, 70, of 800 Wind Brooke Drive, Arlington, Texas, died Saturday, November 11, 2011. She was born December 26, 1940, in Sharon, to William E. and Shirley Ann White, and was a 1958 graduate of Sharon High School. Family was everything to her, with her greatest joy following all the various activities of her seven grandchildren. She loved "words" of the English language and took courses to gain a better understanding of German, Russian and Hebrew languages. Her other love was traveling, and she was blessed to have visited many unique places in the world.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Grassl, whom she married April 28, 1964, in Athens, Georgia; her three daughters, Laura and husband Robert McElroy of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dianne and husband Paul Garner, of Arlington, Texas, and Rachel and Chip Edmiston of Justin, Texas; seven grandchildren; brothers William White, Jr., of Beaver, Pennsylvania, and Roy White of Easton, Pennsylvania, and sister Robin McCanna of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her mother, on April 5, 2011, and her father, on August 22, 2011.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 West Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, Texas. |
